The IT Job Board is the UK's largest IT-specific recruitment website. Formed in 2002 the company has grown to having over 50 employees in its London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt offices. The current managing director, Alex Farrell, started out life as a trainee in the company, and lives and breathes the vibrant culture that runs through the fabric of the business. Every member of The IT Job Board's management team started as a trainee and worked their way to the top having a lot of fun growing new businesses in a very entrepreneurial environment.
The IT Job Board helps clients in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany to find IT staff by using their advertising products, such as job adverts, a CV database and branding opportunities. The business also runs a very profitable non-recruitment advertising arm. As part of a FTSE 250 organisation they benefit from the support and infrastructure of a large group whilst operating independently as a small, but growing, business.
Pete Healey, the sales director, says: "What has been so great about building this business is seeing fresh grads come in to work for us, making an impact professionally and then seeing what that does for them personally. We are taking the business into new areas all the time and this means the opportunities keep getting bigger and bigger."

Adam Clarke
I joined The IT Job Board in September 2007 after completing a four-year course in management sciences at Loughborough University where I achieved a 2:1. I looked around at a number of sales jobs in London and after much thought decided to join The IT Job Board. There were many reasons for this, but the three key reasons are as follows:
Since I joined the company I have had an incredible time. From a challenging first six months, I worked very hard and earned over £40k in my first year, which was by no means the highest in the company. In my second year I was given the opportunity to open a European market, where I excelled and earned over £85k – on my way to being the company top biller. I was also rewarded with company holidays to New York, Barbados, Las Vegas and Valencia, in what was supposed to be the greatest recession for 60 years! Along with many other perks, I have also been promoted up to team leader where I am responsible for the development of other team members and also have a large input into the direction and future of the business.
It is a challenging, but very rewarding career, and I am excited about the being a fundamental part of the future of the company.
